BEST E-SCOOTER FOR ADULTS

A LOOK AT THE BEST E-SCOOTERS AVAILABLE IN THE UK

Introduction

This question is obviously open to interpretation and this website is dedicated to Ducati e-scooters but we look at the overall market. When e-scooters first appeard in the UK in 2019, the Xiaomi brand was the best value for money, while the Ninebot-Segways offered the best alternative for most consumers (meaning there were some pricier brands like Swagtron out there). However, many new brands have entered the market in the last few years, often making promises that their scooters fail to deliver on.

Best Electric Scooters

The New Brands

So which are the best of the new brands? Pure Electric (previously Pure Scooters) were quick to bring out their Pure Air scooter, but its extra weight meant it was actually less good than a Xiaomi. Decent took the UK rights to the TurboAnt X7, and their range is perfectly good (with changeable batteries). But the it was the emergence of Lamborghini and Ducati scooters that really challenged the Xiaomi scooters, though they are mostly priced higher (so it not perhaps surprising that some of their scooters are superior). Ducati's first e-scooter was admittedly disappointment (being essentially a rebranded Xiaomi) but their later scooters were much better.

So which is the Best Overall?

The Xiaomis remain competitively priced for what they deliver so the Xiaomi Pro 2 cannot be discounted. And as good as the Lamborghini AL1 is, its lack of rear suspension does mean that, unsurprisingly, it is the best of the Ducatis that secure top spot, even though you have to pay a little more for them. The Ducat Pro II Evo is the more affordable so may be your best bet. Please read the review for Ducati Pro II Evo.
